PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a V-ribbed belt whose friction coefficient can be reduced through forming a coated film containing a lubricating component on a surface of the V-ribbed belt and whose sound production resulting from misalignment and sick slip can be curbed. SOLUTION: The V-ribbed belt buries a core wire 4 in an adhesive rubber layer 5 along a longitudinal direction of the belt and has a plurality of rib parts 7 in the lower part of the adhesive rubber layer 5. At least one coating film selected from a silicon-based lubricating coating material or a molybdenum-disulfide-based lubricating coating material is formed on the surface of the rib part 7.
