PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a database register, a database registration method, a control program, and a computer-readable recording medium, capable of providing the retrieval function of a musical composition file, without giving sense of incongruity to the user. SOLUTION: A micro-controller acquires and adds the number of the musical composition files in each holder, determines whether the added number of the musical composition files is a prescribed value or larger, sets musical composition information of the musical composition files included, until the holder, immediately prior to the holder in which the number of the musical composition files reaching the prescribed value or more, as one group, when the added number of the musical composition files is the prescribed value or larger, and registers it in the database.
