PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having excellent electrical property and durability to oxidizing gas such as ozone and capable of forming excellent images even if used repeatedly for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The electrophotographic photoreceptor has a photosensitive layer containing a compound expressed by formula (1), on a conductive support. In the formula (1), Ar<SP>a1</SP>to Ar<SP>a5</SP>represent an arylene group that may have a substitutional group, R<SP>a1</SP>to R<SP>a4</SP>represent hydrogen atoms or a chain unsaturated group that may have a substitutional group, and n1 represents an integer of 3 to 5, wherein at least one of R<SP>a1</SP>to R<SP>a4</SP>is the chain unsaturated group.
