PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a new system (ubiquitous movie) capable of bringing interests to both of copyright holders having the copyrights of movies or the like and general consumers requiring to enjoy video information such as movies anytime and anywhere. SOLUTION: In this recording method, a video information recorded medium is made as follows: As for high-quality video information for which a copyright holder requires copy inhibition or the like, copyright control such as copy inhibition on a DVD or the like is performed, and its resolution or the like is restricted to a half or less in addition to the video information, and copyright protection information allowed to be copied, moved, downloaded or the like is added to copy-inhibited video information whose image quality is limited to a level at which the copyright holder can permit copying or the like. The video information whose resolution is restricted is read out from the video information recorded medium and is recorded in a compact medium to be easily available outdoors. The compact medium storing the video information whose resolution is restricted is reproduced on a reproducing device with a compact display to display the reproduced information on the compact display.
