PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joint-type fishing rod, having a proper sensation for joint operation and which is capable of preventing squeaking, while preventing anchorage. SOLUTION: This joint type fishing rod is provided with that the inner surface 10A of a top part sector of a rear side rod female side joint part 10AB is straight or has a taper becoming thinner in the rear, the taper at the inner surface of the rear side sector is steeper, when the inner surface 10B of the rear side sector and the inner surface of the top part sector have tapers become thinner in the rear; a multiple number of projected parts 12 dispersed in circumferential direction are installed in an optional positions of the inner surface of the rear side sector, with the taper becoming thinner in the rear of the male side jointing part, is steeper, when at least the outer surface 20A of the front-side sector belonging to the male-side jointing part of the front-side rod has the taper becoming thinner toward the rear; the multiple number of projecting parts has an abutment range L on which the rear end part 20E of the male side joint part abuts; the inner surface of the end part of the female-side jointing part has a gap with the outer surface of the male side joint part in the case that the rear end part positions in the front end of the contacting range; and the rear-end part positions within the abutment range in the case that the outer surface of the front-side sector of the male-side joint part abuts on the inner surface of the end part of the female-side jointing part.
