The invention discloses a high-voltage machine with an extremely short axis capable of high speeds. A phase (U, V, W) with a single bunched conductor is continuously laid in the grooves (1 to 36) of the laminated core of a high-voltage machine. This obviates the need for coil bonds, interconnections and loops which generally involve significant winding overhang.
