A non-aqueous electrolyte solution for lithium ion secondary battery is provided to ensure excellent charge and discharge characteristic and to reduce the swelling phenomenon at a high temperature. A non-aqueous electrolyte solution for lithium ion secondary battery comprises a lithium salt and organic solvent. The organic solvent comprises a carbonate compound, propionate-based ester compound and propionate-based ester resolution inhibitor. The propionate-based ester compound is represented by the chemical formula 1, R1 is CH3CH2; R2 is C1-5 linear or branched alkyl group; and R1 and R2 are independently substituted or non-substituted with one or more halogens. the resolution inhibitor any one or a mixture selected from a group consisting of pyrrole, thiophene, aniline, biphenyl, cycle hexylbenzene, fluotoluene, tris(trifluoroethyl) phosphate, gamma - butyrolactone, gamma - valerolactone, butyronitrile, hexanenitrile, succinonitrile, adiponitrile, valeronitrile, siloxane, silane and their halogenated compound. |
