<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component supply apparatus which can simplify a user's work on a suppressor after storage tape loading. <P>SOLUTION: After loading the storage tape into a component supply unit, the suppressor 23 is pressed to swing counterclockwise, which causes a flat spring 44 to swing downward to release the engagement between a locking portion 56 of the flat spring 44 and the rear end of the suppressor 23. At this time, the deadweight of the suppressor 23 and an energy-applying force of a torsion spring 39 cause the suppressor 23 to swing in the direction of closing. Even in a case where the suppressor 23 is not locked in a closed state, the suppressor 23 is kept pushed in the direction of closing by the energy-applying force of a torsion spring 39.
