<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the time required for restoration of a database while reducing the power consumption of a storage system. <P>SOLUTION: When performing access relating to a first type storage device among a plurality of storage devices in the storage system, a database management system specifies a second type storage device that stores a backup of data stored in the first type storage device, in response to detection of an error relating to the access and issues a power saving release instruction capable of releasing power saving of the second type storage device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
