STENT FOR VASCULAR CHANNEL

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent for a vascular channel which can maintain the condition to expand the diameter of the vascular channel certainly without causing damage to the vascular channel to be implanted.

SOLUTION: A stent 1 is attached to the vascular channel of a living body. This stent 1 has a stent body 3 which is formed cylindrically by a thread 2 which consists of a bioabsorbable polymer with the shape-memory function. The shape of this stent body 3 is memorized to the size indwelt in the vascular channel. The stent body 3 is placed in the vascular channel of the living body in the condition that the diameter is decreased by external force. The diameter is expanded by warming with living body temperature. The stent body 3 is formed by folding the thread 2 which consists of the bioabsorbable polymer in zigzags without overlapping each other and winding it cylindrically. The diameter is expanded or decreased by the folding part of the thread as a displacement part.
