<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for cutting an insulating coat of an electric wire, for cutting an insulating coat completely without damaging a core wire while improving efficiency in terminating an electric wire. <P>SOLUTION: The device is provided with a pair of upper/lower laser beam irradiating means for irradiating the insulating coat of the electric wire extending in forward/backward directions with laser beams from upper/lower directions, and an electric wire reciprocating means reciprocating the electric wire in right/left directions in a range exceeding an outer diameter size of the electric wire.
