PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact mixing valve which provides warm water of a desired temperature and flow rate by mixing cold water and hot water without increase of a size or a weight, and reduces a hot-water volume (only) while a cold-water inlet is fully closed. SOLUTION: This valve is provided with a cold-water inlet joint 11A and a hot-water inlet joint 12A substantially on the same plane, and comprises: a valve body 10 provided with an outlet 13 on downstream sides of a cold-water inlet 11 and a hot-water inlet 12; and an approximately cylindrical valve body 20 having an opening 31 for cold water and an opening 32 for hot water to continuously change an opening area of the cold-water inlet 11 and the hot-water inlet 12 according to a rotary angle on its peripheral wall 22. The cold-water inlet 11, the hot-water inlet 12, the opening 31 for cold water, and the opening 32 for hot water are located along a rotary axial line O having steps to continuously change the opening area of the hot-water inlet 12 from the maximum to the minimum according to the rotary angle of the valve body 20 while the cold-water inlet 11 is fully closed by the valve body 20.
