PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a baseboard which is installed in a building with a constitution securing the state of making underfloor and above-floor spaces communicate with each other, which enables the effective scattering of impact sounds generated on a floor surface, and which eliminates the problem of a sound propagated through a wall material. SOLUTION: This baseboard 10, which comprises a baseboard body 12 manufactured of an elastic material or a sound absorbing material, an upper additional member 14 and a base plate 16, is fixed to an edge of flooring 32 and a wall material 30. The baseboard body 12 is provided with a through-hole 12a which penetrates with an upper end surface from a lower end surface brought into contact with the flooring 32; a lower end surface 14a, facing the through-hole 12a, of the upper additional member 14 attached to an upper portion of the through-hole 12a is formed at an angle of approximate 45°with respect to the direction of the elongation of the through-hole 12a; and air in the underfloor space 26 flows out at the loss of pressure into the above-floor space 27. This enables the effective scattering of the impact sounds generated on the floor surface. Additionally, the problem of the sound propagated through the wall material 30 is eliminated.
