<p>The present invention is related to the method for obtaining aggregated antigenic structures that are able to enhance the immune response to antigens, administered by systemic and/or mucosal routes, to generate potent immune responses, as well as chemical structures resulting from the application of this method, the formulations obtained from such structures and their use. <??>The method describes the preparation of new aggregated antigenic structures by using aggregating, delipidating or oxidizing compounds allowing the release of lipids from the particle and its aggregation in a heterogeneous fashion, selecting afterwards particle aggregates with sizes between 30 and 500 nm by a molecular exclusion process. The aggregation state may also be induced inside the yeast by varying the incubation conditions. The resulting structures may be conveniently used adjuvanted or in a formulation together with several antigens, to produce a synergistic effect of these components regarding the immunogenicity of the response obtained. The preparation may also contain stabilizing and preserving substances. <??>The resulting antigenic structures may be applied in the pharmaceutical industry as preventive or therapeutic vaccine formulations for human or veterinary use and as a part of diagnostic systems.</p> |
