<p>A putrescible organic waste treatment system comprising a comminution unit configured to substantially comminute putrescible organic waste into a pulp slurry. The comminution unit is adapted for connection to a supply of water. A controller can control the flow rate and/or volume of water supplied to the comminution unit and control the comminution unit. The controller is responsive to one or more operating parameters of the comminution unit in order to control the quantity of water supplied to the comminution unit to produce a waste pulp having a predetermined physical characteristic.</p> |
