<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer-type color image-forming apparatus which has a belt-control method which easily corrects a deviation of a transfer position of an intermediate transfer belt. <P>SOLUTION: After a belt is moved when color printing is made from a monochrome printing state or from a halt state, or when a power source is changed from turning off to turning on, when the number of paper sheets to which printing is made reaches at least a prescribed number N, or when printing period reaches a prescribed period of time M, at first, a transfer belt is subjected to empty rotation for two seconds for resist adjustment, and then the belt is stopped for two seconds. Then, the transfer belt thus stopped is subjected to empty rotation for about five seconds to reduce the distortion of the belt and is then subjected to full-scale rotation for color printing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
