<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing the deterioration of detecting accuracy of a temperature detection means for detecting the surface temperature of a fixing roller. <P>SOLUTION: A fixing mechanism which fixes a toner image by holding, heating and pressuring paper to which a toner image has been transferred by the fixing roller 28 and a press roller 33 is provided with a thermistor 37 detecting the surface temperature of the fixing roller 28, and performs heating control by on/off controlling the fixing roller 28 based on a detection signal from the thermistor 37. When the number of times that the on-time is equal to or longer than predetermined time is the predetermined number, it is judged as a situation that imperfect contact of the thermistor 37 occurs, whereby abnormality decision is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
