<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly deploy an head protecting airbag body into a vehicle room even when the width of a roof rail garnish is relatively small. <P>SOLUTION: The roof rail garnish 14 as an interior member in a region ranging from a terminal 12A of a ceiling material 12 to the outside of a vehicle in the cross direction is locked to the side of a roof side rail 16. It is isolated from the side of the roof side rail 16 and deployed to the inside of the vehicle room by the developing pressure of the airbag body 10. The terminal 12A of the ceiling material 12 is deformed to the inside of the vehicle room with the deployment of the roof rail garnish 14 and put into the condition of being deployed to the inside of the vehicle room together with the roof rail garnish 14.
