<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow registration of format information of a document not held in a financial institution, to quickly reflect the format information, and to facilitate management. <P>SOLUTION: A shop terminal transmits image data of a document for which no format information is registered. A document registration terminal generates format information, based on the acquired image data of the document, and when it is determined that the formation information does not affect format information stored in a whole document image registration file, transmits the generated format information to a server to store it in the whole document image registration file.
