<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt loading device which can improve the loading rate by facilitating loading of a seat belt of an occupant and positively urging wearing of the seat belt. <P>SOLUTION: A seat belt 2 mounted in a car is formed by juxtaposing two bag layers divided near a tongue 3 threaded with a seat belt and capable of hermetically sealing gas along the width of the seat belt. The two bags are coupled with pumps 6a, 6b capable of charging and discharging gas, respectively. The two pumps increase the inside pressure of the bag to harden the seat belt by charging gas into respective bags when an occupant sits on the seat. By so doing, the tongue can be easily fastened by drawing the seat belt from a pretensioner 4 and bringing the tongue near to the buckle while a triangle is formed taking the tongue part of the seat belt as an apex. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
