<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress variations in characteristics of a semiconductor element by stabilizing the potential of a light shielding layer arranged on the substrate side of the semiconductor element, relating to a semiconductor device equipped with a plurality of semiconductor elements formed on a substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor device comprises a light-transmitting substrate 101, a plurality of semiconductor elements 125 supported by the substrate 101, a plurality of conductive light shielding layers 103 which are of island shape arranged between the substrate 101 and the plurality of semiconductor elements 125, and a light-transmitting conductive film 102 arranged between the substrate 101 and the plurality of semiconductor elements 125.
