PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an FM broadcast wave transmission system which attains a long-distance transmission, without being affected by obstacles or shields. SOLUTION: The FM broadcast wave transmission system comprises an FM-broadcasting station side conversion device 10 having an A/D conversion unit 34 which converts an analog signal, generated by adding a character information signal to a sound signal generated at a musical performance station of an FM broadcasting station into a digital signal and a transmission unit 31, which outputs the converted digital signal to a transmission center 200 via a first line terminating device 11; a transmission station side conversion device 20, having a reception unit 32 which receives the digital signal output from the transmission unit 31 of the FM-broadcasting station side conversion device 10 via a second line terminating device 21 at a transmission station 200 and a D/A conversion unit 35, which converts the digital signal that the reception unit 32 receives into an analog signal; and a wire 300 connecting the first line terminating device 11 and second line terminating device 21 to each other.
