PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiving device capable of automatically putting a channel back to an original channel, which is made convenient for a user to use. SOLUTION: The television receiving device 1 is configured to store information about the channel of a television broadcast signal received by a tuner 11 as original channel information in predetermined first timing, to erase the stored original channel information in predetermined second timing, and to decide whether the elapsed time from the point of time when the channel of the television broadcast signal received by the tuner 11 is switched from the original channel based upon the original channel information where the information about the channel of a television broadcast signal received by the tuner 11 is stored to another channel reaches a previously set recovery time and then receive a television broadcast signal corresponding to the original channel by the tuner 11 when it is decided that the elapsed time from the point of time when the channel is switched from the original channel to the other channel reaches the recovery time.
