PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily measuring frequency distribution of jitters of digital data signals transmitted by serial communication, without requiring a clock signal for specifying a reference time, and forming system configuration for the measurement to be low in cost and high in versatility. SOLUTION: Sampling data comprising an instantaneous value and time of the digital data signal is acquired by a computer 3 via a real-time oscilloscope 2. The computer 3 specifies a linear function indicating a reference relation between the time of a bit change point and the number of the change point by a least-square method. The specified linear function is used to determine the reference time, regarding the inversion time of the digital data signal, and jitters of the inversion time are obtained to prepare the frequency distribution of the jitters.
