PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, wherein when oil flows intermittently, return to an initial position cannot be obtained, since the interval of intermittence becomes shorter, because the return of a float depends on the inertial force. SOLUTION: This monitor is equipped with the float 4, arranged floatably in a pipeline 3 that communicates an oil inlet 1 with an oil outlet 2, and a stopper mechanism 5 for holding the stroke length of the float 4 fixed. The stopper mechanism 5 is equipped with a float return spring for regulating the stroke length of the float 4, and a stopper 6 for stroke regulation thereunder, and allows communication with a bypass tube 8, opened to a diameter larger than that of the oil outlet 2 near the oil outlet 2. Consequently, the float 4 can be operated stably; and when an oil discharge amount is large or viscosity is high, oil flows through the bypass tube 8, having a larger diameter of an outlet hole, and the stroke length can be kept fixed, regardless of the discharge amount.
