PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an output characteristic detection device for a cylinder pressure sensor capable of more accurately detecting sensor output characteristics of an object sensor and an output correction device for a cylinder pressure sensor capable of more accurately correcting output of the object sensor. SOLUTION: A device detecting output characteristics of the object sensor which is a cylinder pressure sensor detecting cylinder pressure which is pressure in a combustion chamber of a predetermined cylinder of an internal combustion engine, is provided with a program detecting cylinder pressure at two pressure detection timings (including angleθ2) and estimating gain and offset indicating output characteristics of the object sensor based on the two detection values of detected cylinder pressure, and a program variable setting the angleθ2 based on target ignition timingθign predicting ignition timing of fuel combustion (steps S104, S104a, S104b).
