A facsimile/electronic dictionary is provided to display contents of an input word and print the contents on a recording sheet after putting an electronic function in a facsimile. A key input unit generates a key signal for setting electronic dictionary search mode and a key signal for print. After setting the electronic dictionary search mode from the key input unit, contents of a word are searched when a word is input from the key input unit.
