The casing supports a key stem 1a which projects through an aperture 2a in the slider. The aperture extends to an enlarged recess having opposed surfaces 6. In operation a bit of a key engaging the lock stem contacts one surface 6 to project the bolt when the key is turned and contacts the other surface 6 to withdraw the bolt when the key is reversely turned, the bolt rods are simultaneously rotated to fastening and releasing position.
