摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a liquid crystal device, for example, with a touch-panel function by a simple manufacturing process. <P>SOLUTION: A PIN diode 212 is constituted on an insulation film 44 by sequentially laminating a lower electrode 212a, an N-type semiconductor layer 212b, a light receiving layer 212c made of a polysilicon layer, a P-type semiconductor layer 212d, and an upper electrode 212e. The upper electrode 212e constitutes part of a conductive film 214 formed on an insulation film 47. That is, the upper electrode 212e of the PIN diode 212 is formed in the same layer as a common electrode formed on the insulation film 47 on a TFT array substrate 10. Accordingly, the upper electrode 212e can be formed according to a common process as that for forming the common electrode, and the manufacturing process to manufacture the liquid crystal device can be simplified compared with the case where the common electrode and the upper electrode 212e are formed according to separate processes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p>
