PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new curative agent and a new diagnostic agent for digestive cancer. SOLUTION: An APC(adenomatous polyposis coli) immune conjugate is prepared from HEK 293 cell transfected with Myc-APC and FLAG-mouse AXIN; thereby it has been found the possibility that EDD is a functional partner of APC. Immune sedimentation and intracellular localization are considered, and the presence of APC-EDD interaction has been demonstrated. Further, it has been demonstrated that EDD expression increase the expression levels of APC and AXIN in a dose-dependent way, and the dose-dependent expression enhancement is not a secondary effect by protein overexpression. It has been shown by RT-PCR that, in a cell with EDD subjected to knockdown, APC mRNA is subject to no downward control, and it has been demonstrated that the APC expression enhancement by EDD is an effect of protein level, and it has been found that EDD is involved in APC stabilization. Based on the results described above, the new curative agent and the new diagnostic agent for digestive cancer with a polypeptide having APC expression-promoting function or a polynucleotide or a vector encoding the amino acid sequence of the above polypeptide as an active ingredient are provided, respectively.
