UNDERWATER STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF REINFORCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater structure increased in rigidity with excellent working efficiency and a method of reinforcing the underwater structure. SOLUTION: This underwater structure 1 comprises piles 3 driven into a bottom ground 2 at proper intervals and an upper structure 4 formed on the head parts of the piles. A sheath tube 7 is installed on each pile 3. A hollow connection tube 8 projecting from the sheath tube 7 is joined to the hollow connection tube 8 of the sheath tube 7 installed on the adjacent pile 3 for forming a horizontal member 10 for reinforcement.
