PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aromatic-containing resin composition to which high weatherability is imparted while retaining the inherent transparency of the resin. SOLUTION: The resin composition comprises zinc oxide fine particles (A) surface-modified with a silane compound represented by the general formula (1): R<SB>a</SB>SiX<SB>(4-a)</SB>and having a number average particle diameter of the zinc oxide parts of 0.5-20 nm and an aromatic-containing resin (B), wherein a content of the zinc oxide fine particles (A) is 0.1-30 wt.%. The resin composition has excellent weatherability while retaining transparency. In the formula, R represents a 1-18C monovalent organic group; X represents a hydrolyzable group, when a plurality of symbols R and X are present, they may be the same or different; and a is 1, 2 or 3.
