PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for assaying a saccharified albumin comprising lyzing the saccharified albumin with a protease, subjecting a saccharified amino acid oxidase to an isolated saccharified amino acid and assaying the hydrogen peroxide formed, wherein the amount of the protease used is small, without being affected by turbidness, and to provide a reagent for the method. SOLUTION: In the method, by having trimethylammonium salt and/or dimethylammonium salt as quaternary ammonium salt(s) is(are) contained in the assaying system, the occurrence of turbidity in the reaction solution is inhibited and the use of the protease is reduced.
