PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep good sealing performance for a long time by reinforcing a supporting part for the opening and closing of an engine cover, thereby suppressing the distortion of the contacting face of a side frame of the opening and closing engine cover to a machine frame (circumferential fixed side frame) constituting an engine room. SOLUTION: A step floor (1) is arranged at the front side of an engine room (2) containing an engine (12). The engine room (2) is covered with an engine cover (7). A driver's seat (3) is placed above the engine cover (7). An operation frame 6 for supporting an operation lever (5) is arranged on the left side of the driver's seat (3). A post (8) for supporting the engine cover (7) in a freely openable and closeable state is arranged behind the engine room (2) and near the outer side of the machine body. The upper part of the post (8) is connected to a part of the operation frame (6) forward from the engine (12) through a reinforcing frame (10) arranged above the engine (12).
