PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a low-cost gold alloy which has a vivid pink color tone suitable for pink gold jewelry and excellent workability and also exhibits health promoting effects. SOLUTION: The gold alloy is characterized in having a composition containing, by mass, 37.5 to <50% gold, 48 to 62.5% copper, <6% silver, <6% zinc, 0.02 to 3% germanium and 0.02 to 3% indium.
