PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve-lift control method which avoids the transient error of a set valve lift while securing high operation accuracy and is improved based on the feedback of an adjustment distance. SOLUTION: In the control method of an operation device 30 for a valve, the period of operation pulse of a control valve (MV1) for opening the valve 1 and another control valve (MV2) for closing it decides the adjustment distance of the valve. The opening or closing of the valve is performed by one lift or a plurality of partial lifts, and the operation pulse is associated to each lift or each partial lift. The valve includes a transmitter 38 which generates the signal (U_sgwv) having the values of a discrete adjustment distance (s_i) and an attachment time point (t_i), or those of a discrete time point (t_i) and an adjustment distance (s_i). The control method is carried out by a step for correcting the target period of the operation pulse or the target period of next operation pulse attached to the lift and partial lift correspondingly to the signal.
