<p>To enable questions and answers between a lecturer and each of the students taking a lecture, while avoiding increase in the traffic of data communication between the lecturer's terminal apparatus and each of the plurality of students' terminal apparatuses. The lecturer's terminal apparatus (2) is connected to a communication network (4) via a first communication control apparatus (20), while each of the students' terminal apparatuses (3) is connected to the communication network via a second communication control apparatus (30), thereby constructing a remote lecture system (1). The first communication control apparatus is so adapted as to always transfer audio data, which is received from the lecturer's terminal apparatus, to its destination. The first communication control apparatus is further adapted such that when receiving from the lecturer's terminal apparatus an indication to the effect that the lecturer's terminal apparatus accepts data from any of the students' terminal apparatuses, the first communication control apparatus transmits, to each of the students' terminal apparatuses, an indication of permitting data transmission. On the other hand, the second communication control apparatus is so adapted as to inhibit the data transmission of the student' terminal apparatus until reception of the indication of permitting data transmission and to cancel the inhibition upon the reception of the indication of permitting data transmission.</p> |
