NOVEL THERMOSTABLE DNA POLYMERASE

Disclosed is a novel DNA polymerase which has a complementary strand replacement/amplification activity and also has high thermal stability. Specifically disclosed is a DNA polymerase comprising any one of the proteins (a) to (f): (a) a protein comprising the amino acid sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:14; (b) a protein comprising an amino acid sequence having the deletion of 1 to 51 contiguous amino acid residues from the N-terminal of the protein comprising the amino acid sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:14; (c) a protein comprising the amino acid sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:23; (d) a protein comprising an amino acid sequence having the deletion of 1 to 310 contiguous amino acid residues from the N-terminal of the protein comprising the amino acid sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:23; (e) a protein comprising the amino acid sequence depicted in SEQ ID NO:16; and (f) a protein which comprises an amino acid sequence having the deletion, substitution, insertion or addition of 1 or several amino acid residues in an amino acid sequence for a protein selected from the proteins (a) to (d) mentioned above and which has a DNA polymerase activity.
