A switch control circuit is provided to control a switch without malfunction in disturbance like surge and implement stable SMPS and control a switch without distortion by inputting a signal of waveform which is not distorted in IC. A switch control circuit of SMPS quasi-resonant converter comprises a controlled integrated circuit, zener diode and diode. The controlled integrated circuit(230) controls the operation of a switch. The zener diode(240) is connected to an input terminal of the controlled integrated circuit. The diode(250) is serially connected to the zener diode. The cathode of the zener diode is connected to the input terminal. The anode of the zener diode is connected to the anode of the diode. The cathode of the diode is connected to the ground.
