<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcast recording device capable of effectively avoiding recording mistakes, when recording a digital broadcast signal. <P>SOLUTION: A digital broadcast recording system 1 includes a tuner module 2 and a personal computer 3. The personal computer 3 comprises a hard disk 28, where a signal included in a digital broadcast radio wave is recorded, a free capacity detector 33 which detects the free capacity of the hard disk 28, a data capacity calculating unit 34 which calculates data capacity needed to record a prescribed program in the form of a high-vision mode signal, and a signal selector 35, which selects one of the high-vision mode signal and a one-segment mode signal as a signal to be recorded on the hard disk 28. Furthermore, the personal computer 3 includes a CPU 40 which compares the free capacity with the data capacity and makes the signal selector 35 select one of the high-vision mode signal and one-segment mode signal according to the comparison result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
