<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently use energy accumulated in a flywheel. <P>SOLUTION: In a hybrid vehicle 10 equipped with a second flywheel FW2 which can be rotated according to the revolution of an axle 12, engine start processing is performed. When the engine start conditions are satisfied in the processing, and the revolving direction of the second flywheel FW2 is a positive direction, and the revolving speed NFW2 of the second flywheel FW2 is a threshold NFW2th or more, the second flywheel FW2 is engaged with a first flywheel FW1 connected to a crank shaft 205 when power transmission with an axle 12 is interrupted. As a result, cranking is operated by energy accumulated in the second flywheel FW2, and an engine 200 is started.
