<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply clean the part to be cleaned of a weighing device which has been dirtied due to coming into contact with the material to be weighed. <P>SOLUTION: The cleaning method of a combination weighing device 1 includes a cleaning step and a recovery step. The combination weighing device 1 weighs the merchandise moving on the conveyance route. The combination weighing device 1 has a dispersion table 12, a supply feeder 13, hoppers 14, 15 and 16, gates 14a, 15a, 15b, and 16a and an aggregation discharge chute 17 which are stained by making it come into contact with the merchandise. The cleaning step is a step for regions to be cleaned 12 to 17, by throwing in the sponge 52 to a prescribed position on the conveyance route for bringing a pieces of sponge 52a into the regions to be cleaned 12 to 17.
