PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of including ultrasonic cleaning and cleaning a generator coil. SOLUTION: The method includes a step for cleaning the generator coils 10, 20, 30 with an ultrasonic cleaning system 80 including a means for passing ultrasonic pressure waves through an aqueous solution 90. In some embodiments, the aqueous solution 90 may be an acidic solution. The acidic solution may include citric acid. In other embodiments, the aqueous solution 90 may be a caustic solution. The caustic solution may include sodium hydroxide. The aqueous solution 90 may have a temperature between 50-85°C. The frequency of the ultrasonic pressure waves may be approximately 30 kHz.
