PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the transmission efficiency of data by decreasing packets of a protocol of a lower layer used for transmission/reception between terminal devices. SOLUTION: The communication system includes two terminal devices 1 and 2, where the terminal device 1 between the two terminal devices 1 and 2 includes a packet transmission means for transmitting packets 3 based upon a plurality of layered protocols to the other terminal device 2, which has an acknowledge packet transmission means for transmitting an acknowledge packet 4 of a protocol of a lower layer functioning as an acknowledge for a protocol of a higher protocol of a packet 3 to the terminal device 1 when receiving the packet 3.
