PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handle lock device of a circuit breaker in which a locking member cannot be easily dislocated from an operation handle even if an external force (load) is given manually in a reset direction in a condition that a handle lock device is mounted on the operation handle and is locked at an OFF position. SOLUTION: The handle lock device of a circuit breaker is composed of an assembly of a locking member 6 having a plate with a locking hole 6b extruding from the cap portion to an ON side end edge of an open mouth portion of a case cover integrally with a cap portion 6a to be locked with a knob portion 3a at an OFF position and a stopper piece 7 with a locking hole 7a provided with a pawl portion 7c which guides and supports in an inclined movement to positions ON and OFF sliding on the plate of the locking member and is locked with a stepped portion 3b of a handle knob portion at a LOCK position. As a supporting means for preventing a dislocation of the locking member 6, projections 6e, 6f, 6g are formed on the locking member 6, and the handle lock device 5 is prevented from being dislocated from the operation handle 3 by an external force given in an arrow direction P.
