PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a servo controller in an optical disk device, and its method. SOLUTION: The servo controller is provided with: an optical pickup part 120 for outputting an error signal representing the degree of an error by the position of an objective lens on the basis of reflected light on a label surface when performing printing on the label surface being an irregular reflection surface of an optical disk; a signal correcting part 150 connected to the optical pickup part 120 to amplify the error signal to a first level and outputting the error signal; a filter 170 connected to the signal correcting part 150 to eliminate noise of the amplified error signal; and a control part 180 connected to the filter 170 to adjust the position of the objective lens so as to reduce the error signal outputted from the optical pickup part 120 in response to the amplified error signal. In the case of making printing on the label surface being the irregular reflection surface of the optical disk, therefore, the error signal is amplified, noise is eliminated, feedback control is enabled, and the quality of recording is improved so that a recording time is shortened.
