PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely position sheets at a stapling position or folding position, without sheet jamming or changing an order of pages, when the sheets are collected at a post-processing position. SOLUTION: The post-processing device includes a sheet carry-in path along which sheets from a carry-in port are fed through a sheet discharging port to the downstream post-processing position; a collecting guide means disposed on a downstream of the sheet discharging port while forming a step, and setting and collecting the sheets into a bunch; a post-processing means for executing a stapling process and/or a folding process on the sheet bunch collected on the collecting guide means; and a sheet leading end regulating means positioning and regulating a leading end position of the sheet collected by the collecting guide means. A sheet leading end regulating device is structured to move according to sheet size so as to position a rear end of the sheet supported by the collecting guide means at a predetermined position under the sheet discharging port. A platy guide member guiding a carry-in sheet onto the uppermost sheet supported by the collecting guide means is provided at the sheet discharging port of the sheet carry-in path.
