PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction filtration method which simply prevents the decline of filtration efficiency due to the crack generated in an object during the midway of the suction filtration to largely improve filtration efficiency, and to provide a device. SOLUTION: In the suction filtration method to separate a mixture 6 of a solid and a liquid into the solid and the liquid by the suction filtration using a filtration filter 3, it is characterized by covering the surface of the reverse side of the suction of the mixture 6 with a flexible and airtight sheet 7.
