A content distribution system, a distribution server, a receiving terminal and a computer program are provided to reproduce contents conveniently and promptly regardless of the downloading time of the contents. A data distribution sever which distributes content data is connected to a receiving terminal(140) which downloads content data. The data distribution sever includes a transmitting unit, which transmits reproduction period information to a receiving terminal, and a request reception unit which receives a distribution request of the reproduction period information. A receiving terminal includes a receiving unit which receives content data and the reproduction period information from a transmitter, an accumulation unit which memorizes the content data and the reproduction period information, a controller which reproduces the content data, and a period information request unit which transmits the distribution request of the reproduction period information to the request reception unit. |
