A device adapted to 'be affixed' to a golfer to project forwardly from his chest or shoulders is provided with means adapted to be aligned with the direction in which he wishes to drive the ball and includes means giving an audible or visible warning should he allow 'his trunk to become misaligned with the said direction. As disclosed, a breastplate 10 is strapped to the chest and a rod 30 is aligned with 'the said direction by means of adjustable sliding guide members 14, 16, 18 and 26, 28. If the golfer twists his body this is seen by the corresponding misalignment of the rod. In alternative embodiments, (i) the rod constitutes a light emitter and when properly aligned the light is reflected by a mirror along the fairway and subsequently is received by a device which emits a buzz only so long as light is reflected into it, and (ii) the alignment means comprises a pair of battery operated bulbs, the light from which is reflected back to the golfer via a pair of mirrors along the 'fairway only when the alignment is correct. |
